Linehan says we are going to now throw the ball a little bit.

How are we going to increase DAKs throwing when it's shown if DAK throws more than 30 passes a game..

We lose.

And if we increase passing..

Less touches for Zeke to control the TOP.

Are we now going to smoke and mirrors to pretend we are going to be different but not really?

If Garrett is leaving after this season..

I suggest he call the plays and win or lose with him taking responsibility..

not making Linehan the scapegoat allowing the team to stay with Garrett another year.

If Garrett improves the team..he can remain.

Otherwise..

You say that like Garrett has more authority than he most likely does.

Hey..

If I was under pressure for my job..

I would at least want control of the plays being called.

He may not have that control since it would admit failure.

But if I'm him..

I make a change for me.

No we had what 9 years of garrett. 2 playoff wins. we had some great teams and only could muster 2 count them 2 playoff wins in 9 years. FIRE GARRETT if we do not make it to the nfc championship game THIS season.

My theory is that internally they have decided to rebuild. Purge bad contracts, transition from older players, stockipile young talent etc...

They can’t declare that publicly as ticket sales would plummet— so salesman Jerry is out saying ridiculous falsehoods about this team to try and preserve interest in this season.

Bottom line— the offense is a hot mess— and I believe they thought Dak was the answer and that they’d be more competitive during the rebuild than they are right now.

Hate to say it— but I think Garrett is safe. Marinelli is gone next year and Richard is DC/Asst HC. I think Linehan probably gets the axe too— and they will have to evaluate and see if Dak is their guy or not— but regardless, when the Romo era ended— I believe the FO decided to go into full rebuild mode.

If you look at the box score, most of Daks passes come in garbage time. We only throw at the end of games when the opposing defenses are in prevent

I gaurentee you dak throws it 50 times today just because “we saw something in their defense”

A good scheme and play action ability can get Dak over 200 yrds, but let's not get it twisted. We're talking bus driver stats, not focal point stats. I don't see a true win if Zeke isn't the offensive focal point. Detroit is atrocious in run defense, if the Cowboys can't/don't take advantage of that it it'll be a long day

I think they are changing the way Dak plays. Letting him go out and sling it around. If anything we should run more today. They have a good pass defense but can’t stop the run.

Our hope is that by "slinging it" Linehan means instead of throwing everything 4 yards downfield the will take more shot on deep passes downfield.....not more throws. Just longer passes..

Hopefully..

My fact (not theory) is that the FO has no idea so they're throwing crap against the wall

Garrett is already alienating his right hand man to Jerry. It's already in process. Jerry it's all Linehans crap playcalling, I have the playbook for him to use. I'll tell him for the last time to open up the playbook. If not he's gone.

We will have to endure Garrett next season too and another dumb speech and t-shirt.

That's what worries me. The Cowboys can win this game with the run and all signs point to a Cowboys win. The Lions just had a huge effort last week. The Cowboys are coming off of a bad loss. It feels like they win today and that would be counterproductive.

I'm hoping Zeke gets ejected early for headbutting a defender.

Lol... definitely looks that way. Jerry’s comments last week comparing our offense to the Rams’ was ludicrous.

I mean— I understand publicly standing behind your coaches and players— but you don’t have to go so far you lose all credibility lol
