Something I have noticed this year

CZ posters seem much less angered over Garrett's clapping this year. Do any of you think us winning a lot has anything to do with that?

I don't know I wanted to punch my TV when I saw clapping after Lucky fumbled that jet sweep a few weeks ago. lol

When you're winning and playing well, clapping makes sense. When you look like you just learned how to play the game and are completely unprepared, it's asinine.

Pretty simple really.

Can't be because we 'know' that those posters hate the cowboys and are trolls so I would guess that they're even more mad that the Cowboys are winning

Has to be something else

I still get angry when I see it--especially after a bad play.

But there have been other things to discuss this year I guess. So I still hate it, but winning keeps the mentions down.

We all still hate the incessant clapping and butt slapping.....but we are winning, so we are focused on more positive things. Our distain still comes out quite a bit in the chatrooms during the games.

I'm not a Garrett fan but we're winning so I got no problem with him.

I just hate that we had to build almost a perfect offense to start producing.

Garrett needs a great roster behind him. He's not a coach that can get results without it.

In the playoffs we have to have answers for the press coverage / blitz.

JG is not a great coach , which was evident from those 8-8 seasons, but one credit to him he gets the players to play hard (unlike Wade) Also my belief is he was still living off 90's Norv offensive style and expecting perfect execution to pull things through, when he didnt have perfect personnel( A lot of credit to Romo, Witten and some dominant Receivers - still good offense in spite of scheme )After the OL investments and dominant run game his offense is flowing better. But still the way WRs are used leaves a lot to be desired . Not using players too their strength is one of my pet peeve against JG.

Unlike last season, the camera doesn't pan over to the Garrett's hand clapping as much that I've noticed.

I'm thinking #13 will get bounced off the team if he fumbles or drops his allotted touches from here on out the rest of this season, just a hunch but it wouldn't surprise me at all, mostly after spending time/grooming him, to then just flush him and start all over again at what the Garrett envisions at that particular player position,,,, no sir! It wouldn't surprise me seeing it happen later on down the road.

He keeps guys focused.

I've always said Garrett is good Monday-Saturday.

While the clapping makes for a good snark point (which I have used from time to time), how is it annoying?

Here's another guy who clapped a lot. I don't think he annoyed many Cowboy fans:

Yes, winning makes everything less annoying.

To be fair he's clapping less. Also, we're winning more so the clapping is actually warranted.

I've never cared at all about him clapping. Still, the empirical data suggests that if he claps roughly 7% less, we're a lock for the Super Bowl. :)

It is very simple......it is very annoying when we are losing and a lot less irritating when we are winning
True, but one thing now that bothers me more than the silly clapping, which some other coaches do also,
is the going out of his way to pat players on the butt, and he even looks at their butt lol.
And then he also hits them in head, shoulder, high 5, it is odd.

I think if a player didnt want that they would exit the field somewhere JG isnt.
But many exit right by him so JG can do that which is a little odd.

He is basically the cheerleader for the team.
