I've been watching the player interviews on DC.com multimedia. Two different players so far have not known for sure that the next game is the Giants. Focused on the Raiders seems to have been very real. Is it a good sign? I'd sure like to think so.

Great pickup. Someone will surely come in and say it was an act though

Yup. I notieced this too. Its a great mentality to have. You don't win the month on Dec. You win one game at a time.

on the flip side the ny media and the players were talking about Dallas already yesterday.

They will have them self so pumped up next week. Coughlin will be inventing all kinds of reasons. I am sure by the time we play coughlin will have more phony stories of Jerry doing something.

We need to run the crap out of the ball up there and survive the first quarter and let them burn that energy off.

I have a feeling we are going to play our best defensive game of the year.

:laugh2: Count me in as one who believes it is a ploy by the players. A good ploy. This year's Cowboys seem to handle the media real well, from Miles Austin's subtle finger to Ed Werder to not talking about the next opponent until it's time. It shows focus and a united front.

Two of the Defensive players, Spears and Brooking, are less than thrilled that they gave up a touchdown. They were dead serious too.

Man, I am liking this team. Forgive me, but I like this team.

I noticed that as well. Maybe, just maybe this team is on the same page. Compared to last year it is like night and day. The Austin salute to Werder may be one of the first signs that this team is getting some swagger to make a nice run at the end of the year and can do something in the post season. I or we may be reading too much into it, but I will take it when I can get it.

I noticed that and Spears/Brooking being upset with run D in first half vs the Raiders.

Team seems to have received some serious lessons in leadership over the offseason.

The annointing oil has been put away and this team isn't taking the cheese.

The have realized that teams aren't just going to roll over and assume the fetal position because we are the Dallas Cowboys.

They have taken on a blue collar mentality as a football team vs the glitz and glamour team full of stars approach.

I have always admired teams with that blue collar approach and this team is finally getting it.

It seems they now are to the point where as a team they embrace the mundane. Accept your role and take care of the little things.

Work, prepare, study, execute.

And this team is united too.

They have mastered the skill of putting out fires.

Roy's comments about throwing the ball correctly to Austin?

Squashed....

Newman vs Campo?

Squashed.

Now go get this one in NYC.

This could be one of those defining moments.

yes, you always want to have your total focus on this game, not the next game, like Jimmy Johnson always told the players, get your focus on this game, keep your head in the game, not somewhere else.

I loved it too when spears said they got like 82 yards way to much at the start of the game. that shows they will be focused for the giants running game to me.

Boy, oh boy, i would be drooling if they can shut down big mouth jacobs and make him eat some words at the end of the game. Like telling him, do you respect us now big mouth jacobs?

yes, we forgive you for liking the Cowboys...

I think this team can win 3 out of its last 5.

Washington
Philly

And one against either NYG, SD or NO.

I think NO and SD are the longest longshots.

I noticed it too, Hostile. I particularly enjoyed this group of DC.com videos, too. Three stood out for me:

Roy Williams ... his performance may be underwhelming so far, but he's a likeable guy. He seems very excited and appreciative to be on a winner.

Garrett ... we can debate his play calling, but he has the gravitas of a head coach.

Brooking ... the man has focus and intensity.

Those three and Tony's stood out to me. Choice had me absolutely smiling as always. I gotta tell you, Brooking is the best FA signing of at least 5 years as far as I am concerned. Maybe longer. Davis has the skins on the wall in the form of Pro Bowls, but this guy's leadership and intensity is unmatched.

we forgive you for liking this team, then.
We? You speak for everyone now? Trust me, some people here will not.

haha, I see

at any rate, I share your opinion: I really like this team

Keith Brookings I think has probably become the leader of this defense and with good reason...GREAT pick up for us.

I agree the team seems much more focused and this team IS very likable.

I still have my worries (especially oline) but I like the direction this team is going in.
