He has the dreaded PCL.
Isn't that the injury that is widely regarded as the least severe of all the CL injuries but...
everyone who injures it returns to play quickly but it never really heals properly for like a year. It's one of those injuries that just kinda nags all year long and makes the player lose a step and keep missing time?

Hopefully I'm mistaken...

Depends on the individual really. Felix seems like the kind of person that will go to treatment consistently. He just needs to keep the inflammation down and increase circulation to the area. He seems to be very dedicated to football. In terms of it lingering, he'll probably need to get treatment a couple times during the week just to monitor the situation and make sure it doesn't reach a plateau in terms of it getting better. This team needs Felix back. It's nice that Austin has emerged as a threat but we need Felix in the backfield.

You know I don't know.I seem to remember Adrian Peterson having a similar injury or atleast a knee injury and not missing much time.I believe the injury i'm referring to happened Peterson's rookie year.

I love Felix as a player but his injuries are becoming real annoying. I mean yes he's a good player but that's when he is even on the field. He missed over half the year last year and already hurt again this year. *Sighs*

he is not a good player, he is an amazing player.

But when you play in 9 of 21 games and are currently hurt, you are not really a part of the team and you can not be depended on.

Until that changes he is just a luxury teasing all of us.

The presence of Felix Jones makes the Dallas offense truly dangerous no matter the opponent.

<sigh>

So far, durability issues make him an 'if only' player - sorta like having an Adrian Peterson... only to have him 'parked in the garage' on Sunday.

I may need a 'bad toupee' if this keeps up.

I'd rather have him sit until he's 100%, without risk of re-injury. Choice and Barber can do our groundwork until then.

If it's truly a PCL sprain then then stability should not be effected and it should heal well and not limit him. If you feel stable you should be back to full speed quickly. When you lose knee stability it's hard to feel "right" and it takes a long time for you to trust it enough to really open up.

You sound like your describing a high ankle sprain more than anything else.

Wow... If this guy doesn't make it back this year the term "injury prone" will no longer be speculative when referring to him.

The PCL is the injury of choice amongst the possible ligament injuries. Not to mention he isnt getting it cut on, so it heals quicker than the others and is not counted on for as much stabilization as other ligaments in the knee. My wife is rehab pro, so I get to ask her all the injury questions.

This is where Phillis can instill change, like mandating that every Wednesday practice starts with a hug between the rest of the team and Felix. That way he'll feel treated for all of his nagging boo-boos. :lmao:

It's amazing that we constantly hear how this offense misses Felix Jones.

What? he's not been on the field enough for us to miss him.

At this rate he is good for about 5 games a year at 5 carries per game.

Nah, most don't even know who he is, let alone miss him.
( can you tell he's in my doghouse?)

On the other hand, thank goodness we drafted Choice. That kid is dependable.
