If I was Washington I would be looking at the tapes of Dallas defensing the run and look to exploit Ferguson.

Without Ferguson having success at clogging up the middle it could be along day for the Dallas linebackers.

This would take some pressure off of Brunell. Set up some play action for Cooley or Stallworth and give them the advantage in the time of possession game.

If it comes down to the wire it really becomes a matter of field position and the ability of your kicking game.

At this time Hall cannot be called the next Vinatieri, but he did make 3 out of 4 FGs in an actual NFL game and his lone miss was for 48 yards at the end of the game.

I would have to favour Washington and Hall only because we really don't have a feel for Vanderjagt. He hasn't hit the field for us yet.

It won't help them once they are down by 3 TD's.

Jags couldn't exploit Ferguson, Ferguson was a monster in that game. Unfortunately, our scheme doesn't allow Ware and Ellis to get after the QB at the same time unless it's 3rd and long, so our pass rush made our line look like we weren't getting it done.

You may want to watch the Jax game again. Ferguson was strong clogging up the middle the entire game.

Exploit the guy who played better than any of our other DLmen? The guy who saved a TD when Watkins blew his coverage? I am high on Fergusno right now.

They should look into exploiting Frankenstein-Boots Bledsoe. That's the key to the game.

Great !! I didn't know we signed Fergusno. Did we trade for him or was he cut?

Sorry - been a long day, just struck me as funny. BTW - my termite football team is 4-0 after beating one of our nemesis' today. 14-0 but had 2 TD's called back.

His dad, Guy Fergusno, played for Parcells with the Giants.

He's also from Jersey. And apparently, he's more than happy to underachieve, and be known as a horrible signing.

Long story short, he couldn't be a better fit for our pathetic team, and our pathetic coaching staff, that puts our pathetic players, in the most likely situation for them to fail in.

Al Saunders' offenses don't run inside as often as others. For the most part they try to spread the defense by running outside.. it was that same way when we played Kansas City last season and Washington primarily ran outside against Minnesota last week. I would especially look for them to do this against our defense to try to test the speed and ability of our linebackers.

Fergy won't be as key of a factor as he would be against some other teams.

...goes back to traditional Skins offence between the tackles with Duckett.

...on his performance in the Jax game. He played well. It's where I think that the Skins will attack.

Washington has a decent line and I expect the counter trey to target the 1 and 2 holes to see if they can't penetrate past Ferguson. If they can handle him one on one it would take pressure off of Brunell.

Right now the Skins strongest part of their offence is their run game with Betts and Duckett. If Portis is only able to play sparingly then I would expect alot of the Skins runs to take advantage of what Duckett does. You can't send him out to the edge and you can't have Brunell put it up 40 times in the game. The odds would be against them.

Man, the radar for Dallas right now looks like the monsoon has arrived with 'strong storms' predicted for game time. I think the skins get a bit of advantage in wet conditions because they seem to much more a run centered offense. Our defense had better be ready today.

as far as exploiting the run, betts did not impress me last week. he's been good subbing for portis in the past- maybe last week was just an aberration. if i had to guess, i dont think the skins do much damage on the ground without portis.

OK, but Dallas is clearly not a run oriented team and that helps your defense if nothing else. A wet ball also might contribute to a re-emergence of the 'Bledsoe disease' we had last week. Also, has it been definitely established Portis will not play? I'm really expecting to see him tonight.
