I just listened to the post game show (Norm Hitgzes and Greg "the Hammer"---Brad Sham and Christy Sklyes (sp) Lockeroom).

http://www.dallascowboys.com/multimedia_center.cfm

"The Hammer" mentioned that Hurd was with TO after every practice at Oxnard fine tuning his game. We all know TO learnt from the best in Jerry Rice. In the early years TO off-season work-outs were with Rice. You might have scene some footage during Jerry Rice's ESPN classic series, NFL Network series or the FOX beyond the Glory series.

How do you quantify the invaluable knowledge that TO is passing on to Hurd. TO has the ability, but it's clear that Rice put him on the right track. Hurd is
6'-2" 195lb without an entire DallasCowboys off-season program aka "Jurasek Park".

Hurd's TD catch (against Fred Thomas I think) is not typical rookie catch. Other than Terry Glenn over the past season only Antonio Bryant has made mind boggling catches.

I hope TO's practice habits, nutrition and work-out ethic rubs off on Hurd. we expect much out of TO in the next 3 years, but would it be nice if some of his traits (the good ones;)) rub off on Hurd.

We could have a big head start in finding a starting caliber WR.

Keyshawn made catches like that quite often. And Crayton had an even better catch last week.

For all the crap around TO, what he has done and is doing for Hurd really shows something.

I did notice that as well. Hurd's not the prototypical undrafted rookie this early. He was also opened on the deep post pattern.

For a guy supposedly slow, he is getting open alot. On a side note, I wonder how he moved ahead on the depth chart of WR. He started in front of non-rookies, that's interesting.

T.O. has traditionally treat rookies and undrafted players well, from teaching them proper eating and practicing habits to even buying some things such as TV's when he was with S.F.

Now why would you try and mess up a nice warm and fuzzy moment?

Thanks to AdamJT13 for his very timely comments re Keyshawn & Crayton which reinforces how well Hurd is doing-- so far. After all, Keyshawn was a very successful first round pick & Crayton a 7th rounder now in his 4th year. Hurd is UNDRAFTED rookie WR playing in only his 2nd preseason game. Big credit goes to TO for his help. Also believe TO has talked with other WRs & younger players.

Trouble is, Crayton is hurt, and Keyshawn is gone.

I was just pointing out that Glenn and Bryant weren't the only guys to make catches like that in recent years, as Charles claimed.

Well I guess our interpretations of great catches are different you know like how we've always differed on the center position.

Mind Boggling catches IMHO usually end with ohhhhh sh#!@~t TD!!!

Am I the only one that thinks Hurd's TD catch wasn't all that amazing? I mean, it was good, but the way you're talking he's going to be winning the ESPYs play of the year award.
