The NFL needs to get rid of this bye week thing after only 2 games played. They need to change it to where the earliest bye weeks are given is after game 4.

Come on, a bye week after game 2. Why even bother giving a team a bye week if that is all the better they can do. Getting a bye week after game 2 is the same as not even having a bye week pretty much. How lame.

spreading out the bye weeks is a product of TV!!! the way it is now the Networks have more games to choose from week to week!!!! I just wish they get rid of 2 preseason games and make them regular season games!

I'm sure when the NFL is holding that as a Trump card when the TV networks say they want more bang for the buck!!!!

exactly, a bye week in week 3 is basically worthless to us. nobody is worn out or injured yet really and it doesn't give us a break at all.

It's not as bad as it sounds.

It's after 6 games including the 4 preseason games.

Daryl Johnston always claimed he wanted the early bye week because he felt that they were overworked in the heat with two-a-days in training camp. That he needed the early bye to recharge after it.

You know, if I had it my way, there would only be two weeks where there would be Bye weeks.

16 teams have a Bye week one week and the other 16 teams the other week.

This gives all of the teams a bye week at nearly the same time and not allow a couple of teams an advantage of a mid-season Bye.
