5:15 mark of the video. Stephen is asked if current players on the roster will try to talk to the front office about the draft and add their opinions. He said they don't usually call but they do contact them sometimes and then he mentions Damone Clark and talking to him about the LSU defenders.

That would be an odd for instance. I think he means they did and I don't think they'd go that far unless they were seriously considering some of those players.

Maybe it means something. Maybe it doesn't. Either way I'm hoping I can get some likes out of it.

Roy, Gardner were 30 visitors, didn't Ika/Ricks also transfer from LSU?

Translation.

The players don't call much at all.

But the team does reach out if they need information on specific players on the college team the Cowboy played on when in college.

I don't see this as a comment laced with hidden meanings.

Agree. Younger players especially, who might know someone from their college team that will get them inside info

Also at the 9:00 minute mark he is asked about the smallish WR class and immediately mentions Quentin Johnston as an exception.

I think we're taking Johnston in the 1st and then using the rest of our picks on LSU defenders.

I mean, he was a 30 visit.

Your powers of deductive reasoning are amazing. Have you ever thought about changing your user name to Sherlock Star? You could go with Risen Holmes, but it kind of sounds like an adult performer stage name.

Or Risen Dick, since we're making detective jokes.

Stephen is comically bad at lying. I posted this in the other interview thread, but he basically told everyone Zeke was going to be a cap cut this year during last year's post-draft press conference.

I would love Quenton Johnston if the plan isnt to move down.

Just grab your X receiver and wave goodbye to my favorite player next year.

Johnston helps you beat the 9ers and Philthy.

Then you have him when Cooks and Gallup depart.

It also keeps you competitive if Lamb gets injured.

You can also get a quality TE in round 2 or 3, and you already have 2 good prospects.

Can't see Johnston not being a decent player... About as low of bust risk as Campbell and Felix Anudike...

I remember the Cowboys brought in Noah Brown because Zeke told them to.

I'd feel bad for you but no Cowboys fan's favorite player should be Jalen Tolbert.

Learn from it.

If Johnston starts high pointing passes then everyone who passed on him will look foolish.

Especially considering he has a 40 inch vertical which would indicate he can jump out the stadium.

Maybe after his 8 wins less prediction for last season he should change his name to Falling Star?
