Something to keep in mind about playing Price.

Everyone wants to see our new toy, but think about it this way.

The key to us winning this game is STOPPING LT.

If you give me...and I'm guessing Parcells too...the choice of a 4 or 5 route, no timing down yet, #4 WR versus an extra NT or LB and...well it's not rocket science.:D

The team could still cary 4 active receivers on Sunday. It just comes down to Copper and Price. With both teams wanting to lean on their running backs, a big special teams play may be a deciding factor between Copper and Price.

I can see the logic in leaving Price at home; I just can't see it happening. Jerry Jones just wrote the guy a check for half a mil and is going to be paying him over a mil throughout the rest of the season. Jerry is going to want to see the guy in uniform at the game whether he plays or not; it's a PR issue both public and internal. The public PR issue is obvious but there is also an internal PR or political reason that BP will have him there. These are the kinds of concessions that BP makes to Jerry to keep him happy and out of his business. Jerry Jones is still the owner of this team and BP knows it regardless of what all the media might try to tell you to the contrary.

Very true, BZ.

But the way to stop him may be to force Brees to come from behind, and no matter how good the runner, that means relying a lot more on the pass...

If dressing Price and just sending him out on a few posts can translate into an early lead for us, why not?

It will all come down to what Bill sees in practice this week. If he thinks Price is having trouble learning his assignments, he won't play regardless of what Jerry or anyone else thinks. If he can contribute, he will be in uniform.

I think Blindzebra makes a very good point, the key to winning against San Diego will be stopping LT. If we effectively stop him, then we can put one in the win column.
