I know everyone has their thoughts on FS but I was just thinking about something. What would you think of a 5'11" sub 4.4 40 excellent hands and decent coverage skills as a rookie at FS? I'm thinking of Devin Hester. I know he's never really played FS but he plays ST's and excells at them, also has great hands as he showed in the bowl game they got destroyed in and he is decent in coverage and doesn't mind sticking someone. If he's available in the 4th I'd take him at worst you have an elite return man and possibilities at WR, or DB.

The QB I'm hoping we take (if we take one) is Brodie Croyle. I think he has what it will take to win in the NFL and comes from one of the few schools that runs a prodominatly Pro style Offense. Ball controll, Drop back and doesnt' make a lot of mistakes.

I'd like to see us take a C or G I'm not as concerned as others about T I think Petitti will be in the top 10 R Tackles next year and with Flo back we will be ok. Also add to the fact that reports are swirling that Larry Allen may be a cap cut and you see the need for a top YOUNG G.

If we can claim a 4th, I'd take Hester in a NY second.

He's a tweener type, and you could put him anywhere on the field. His number 1 priority would be Return specialist. His secondary priority would be CB/FS/WR.

Some compared him to Dantzler, but this guys return credentials are elite compared to Dantzler, and that's why Dantzler had to go. He wasn't good enough on ST to warrant his keep here.

Don't know if BP will draft a QB, but I wouldn't mind.

Jason Allen might be in the 4th. Was a hell of a player before his injury. He could drop (ala Canty) become a 4th round steal.

Yeah he was a stud before he went down. He probably should have come out last year.

im not sure, but can Hester tackle? i doubt it though. i wouldnt feel too comfortable with him going 1 on 1 with RBs in the secondary. instead of giving up long passes, he'd get beat by the run.

Hester couldn't cut it at CB. I get the feeling he's not a defensive player.

I would draft him later on the second day.......maybe with our fifth. And then, only as a return specialist.

He doesn't seem to have the instincts of a Safety....they have to be able to see the field.

Hester won't be available on the second day past round 4 at the latest. some team will take a chance on him based on his speed and game breaking ST's. He has good hands and with a little coaching could be either a good WR or FS IMO.....

If teams want to spend a first day pick on the guy, then let them do it.

I just don't want it to be us.....Second day only.

if we go this route, I'd rather have Will Blackmon, he actually excelled at a single position
