Something wrong with Dez?

Dez looked hobbled out there (although he still dominated). Seems to me that 77 yarder he was favoring one leg, and it caused him to be caught from behind.

He just doesn't look as fast as he normally does. Anyone know if anything is wrong with him?

good point, he had a lb track him down on the sideline too.

On the play you're referring to he stumbled coming out of the break.

As for the OP, I dont think anything is wrong he was probably just gassed. He ran 77 yards on the play not including running across mid field

Maybe. Just looked like he was short stepping a bit with one leg. His running motion just didn't look as fluid as normal.

Dez is a mid 4.5 guy. He's explosive, excellent with the ball in his hands, but he's not fast in the traditional sense.

Yeah, I think the cut across the field tired him out enough that he got caught. That was maybe my favorite play of the game. 3rd and 6 from from the shadow of your own goal post. That was a ballsy throw, and a great play by Dez.

Bingo, he will not outrun many and with LBs running 4.4s nowadays especially on an 80 yd run.

I can see the out of gas statement. But did no one else see the hitch in his step?

I pointed that out to my dad. I'm not talking about his "speed", there was clearly a limp in his running stride yesterday...

nevermind. Maybe I just imagined it or didn't have a good look at it live. Just looked at it again in Game rewind. He looked like he had nothing left.

But also my connection at work is very choppy... probably the universes way of telling me to actually work.

In the second quarter

I thought I remembered that & Tony looking like he was talking to him. Loudly.

I don't find Dez particularly careful with the ball but that can be fixed. He's a great receiver.

I got gassed just watching the game. I can see why someone who goes all out like Dez would be gassed from yesterday's game.
