Sometimes Emotions Creep Up On You Unexpected

My cousin's son is a Staff Sergeant in the Army. He arrived home today from Afghanistan after his 4th tour.

On Facebook early this morning he posted this.

"at Ihop getting some chocolate chip pancakes. MmmmMmmm. I love AMERICA!"

I don't know why, but that really choked me up. Our soldiers not only put themselves in harm's way but they don't get to enjoy many simple pleasures. I can't say I've ever been someone who would want chocolate chip pancakes but the idea he can now have them touched me.

Then my cousin really got me when she posted this picture of his daughter waiting for Daddy at Will Rogers AFB.

I am praying that he comes back safe and thank him for me for providing me and many Americans the freedom that many of us take for granted.

Is there a word for either the thankfulness that American's have you and your son or the fear you must be feeling?

I'm at a complete loss. While there is no way, I wish you could feel me feel for you.

Awesome - we as a nation have done a terrible job keeping mind that our Youth are in a foreign land fighting a war v people who view their death as a good thing.
