Hey guys, I just finished closing on this huge garage, the realtors were even nice enough to throw in the house with it!

It's very plain right now and what I'd like to concentrate on first is adding some nice Dallas Cowboys accents along the walls, maybe like a nice 12" Cowboy Blue accent line running all along the wall. Throwing in some Stars, #8's, #22's, #88's in there. I wish fatheads weren't so freakin expensive, though 2 for $150 might have to do...

I really want my garage to be a cool spot for my friends to come and hang out. I plan on having a ping pong table and an old big screen TV in there, so let's hear em!

I'm really just asking for any good interior design tips you can give me. Any random ideas are welcome! :bounce:

Here's what I'll be working with, it's a 4 car garage, it's hard to see the first car bay.

Judas Priest, that's a warehouse. Take a look at CowboyGolfer's thread about his Cowboys room. It has some pictures that might help you a lot.

Thanks for the tip, just checked it out, I love the paint scheme, I might have to incorporate some of that into mine, I didn't think the silver would look good on the wall but now I'm changing my mind!

I'd almost love to come help you paint it. I want to do a paint job like that so bad.

I've never seen stained wood base in a garage before. Make sure you use the blue masking tape on that.

Looks like you got a hell of a house. Congrats.

That stained wood is EVERYWHERE in the house, guess the previous owner wanted to keep continuity haha.

Yeah I'll be getting quite a bit of masking tape for the wood.

I should be starting the actually painting in about two weeks, gotta get a lot of stuff finished.

I'll be sure to keep this thread bumped with progress, thanks again!

I have a friend who does some custom paint work. He showed me how he paints logos and stuff sometimes for a company. Really ingenius. He copies what he wants painted onto a clear transparency sheet. So let's say you do the star.

:star:

Then he puts it on an overheard projector and shoots the image onto a wall where he can trace it, then masking it off is a lot easier.

Just a suggestion for an easy way to get good results.

how about a car? ;)

maybe make the walls blue and silver and the ceiling a giant star? around the star maybe put legends numbers...12, 8, 22, 88, 54, etc., etc., etc

and if you want it to be a hang out area too, maybe a pool table, with cowboys balls and sticks?

Ooooooo, I was wondering how I was going to the the star, I was just like gonna hold it up there and like tape around it hahaha, looks like I'll be looking for a cheap projector now too!

Painting the ceiling wasn't originally in my plans, but that seems like a great idea! If I do end up doing that, it'll probably have to be for last. :star:

Yeah it'll probably be a hang out area too, I REALLY want a pool table, but I can't decide if I want to take up a parking spot permanently ya know? I had a pingpong table in mind because I could always fold it up and move it. But then again with the pool table I could always buy a ping pong tabletop...SO MANY CHOICES :banghead:

You can sometimes check them out of your public library. If you belong to a church check if they have one in storage. Most of them do and you can use them.

How about a Ring of Honor around the top of the wall area?

Lay down astro turf where you are going to setup the tv area.

I've always wanted to do that in my computer room. :D

Hmmm why stop there? That'd be kind of cool to have the garage floor all astroturf...I wonder if astro turf can withstand a several tons of cars?

Oilpan drips would ruin it.

Okay, question, what's on the other side of the wall where the cabinets are?

Is it anywhere close to the kitchen or a bathroom? If so you could get plumbing to that area and create a wet bar. It has your serving area built in. Get you a nice big grill and keep it along the wall by the garage door. Wheel it outside for cooking.

Here's a Grill Cover for it.

Here's your Utensils.

There's so much you could do.

The corner where the cabinets is the end of the house, the kitchen is to the right of that two door closet. So that would be a no-go.

But we do have a really nice grill and that cover and utensils seem to be a perfect match :starspin.

So many christmas presents. On another forum, someone linked me to a neon Cowboy star, I loved the idea, but at $400+ it was a no-go.

The garage has some nice fluorescent lighting, but I've been trying to think of some nice ambient lighting or something cool, a neon star would work.

I'll probably be back tonight or tomorrow, I'll take more detailed pics of the garage.
