C’mon, no. Love the player, but the compensation for him and salary they would need to be paid would be oppressive
Yeah, I'd love to have Miller, but we're just not one player away. Unless we can get him for some mid round pick, which I can't see happening, it's just not worth it.

And Von is 30. Many players have a sharp decline around that age.

Charles Haley, for instance, had 12.5 sacks at the age of 30. and only had 14.5 sacks the rest of his career. He had 10.5 at the age of 31, only 4 after that.

Isn’t Mack making 23mill??

That’s a saving of 6 mill per season for a top 3 sack specialist

Yes. Dallas can afford it. It's a cost/benefit analysis though.

Does Dallas want to give up a PICK and pay that kind of money. They could, for sure, but should they? IDK. Probably not.

I called this earlier this season.

At the time Justin Herbert was still undecided about staying in school another year. Johnny Elway was attending his games and rumored to be focused in on him. I thought the Broncos would trade Von Miller for a pick with the hopes of having the ammo to grab Herbert and Chubb serving as Miller’s heir apparent.

It remains to be seen if Denver still makes a play for a QB in this draft.

That's a smart move on the part of Elway. That team isn't winning anything without a QB and Miller is an expensive player that has trade value.

If they move Miller for a pick they can put themselves in a better position going forward and get their cap in line.

Im pretty sure you could put Miller anywhere on the field.....he would probably get 10 sacks at Safety
  1. Who are you moving to the right side, and would either have the effectiveness on the right?

They play a 3-4 in Denver with Miller as an OLB.

When they played a 4-3 several years ago, Miller played LB and moved to DE in obvious passing situations.

DLaw is one of the best run defenders of all 4-3 DEs.

Miller will be 30 before the season starts. The Cowboys over the past few years have made it a point to avoid paying age.

The most appealing thing about trading for Miller is that the new team just inherits his non-guaranteed base salaries; whereas, the Cowboys will have to give DLaw a huge amount of guaranteed money to retain him unless they try to keep him on the Franchise Tag again.

That the thing
He turns 30 soon and his game is quickness and speed
Couple years and that could fade
Miller is a great player and the bronco’s need great players too. But they know how many candles are on the birthday cake
Remember DeMarcus Ware....30 is nothing, good for one more contract

Miller would not be happy anywhere that doesn’t have him at OLB
