He knew after Prescot's 100th inception that he was out of here. Moore knew in his heart that Wentz 2.0 wasn't going to get any better anytime soon.
The Cowboys were tied for 7th lowest INTs in 2021.

I wonder if the nfl will investigate for tampering
With the coaches network and relationships these guys have, that would be impossible. And tampering is an owner's offense with a HC under contract, not a HC with other coaches.

The way the NFL treats coaching, the first thing a coach has to do when he gets a new job is start setting up the next one. And they all have to have agents to negotiate and protect their walk away money when they get fired.

I do not think that affected his job one bit. I think he gave the best he had to give but having a safety net for NFL coaches is a requirement.

He is the OC that pulled the offense together with a backup and got a 4-1 record for him. He was the same OC in MIN and WAS and the same one that went to TB. You can't just throw blame for losses on coaches without giving them credit for wins.

I do think he was used as an interview piece by McC in that 12 hour interview because Garrett primed him before the interview and he knew Booger fancied Moore so he offered to talk him into coming back as his first act as the DC HC. McC told Booger everything he wanted to hear in that interview.
