Sources: NFL GM Says Arch Manning Resembles Jake Locker at times

Arch plays like someone who has never been coached. He'll still go in the first round if he comes out this year because of the physical tools.

Locker is a pretty lazy comparison but Arch has to grow a lot as a processor. I think Darnold is much closer.

I was rooting for the kid to turn out great since I live here in Texas. Eh I’m starting to think he’s not really nfl talent. He’s quick and can scramble is about his best trait. His mechanics are inconsistent and raw. Plus, he lacks a soft touch on his mid range passes when needed.

Arch has had every advantage imaginable his whole playing career. The best private coaches and advisors and everything else. He was being taught by the best from day one
and he still cannot get it done
is the coaching at texas the problems or him because
at some point one has to acknowledge reality and move on

his name
his arm
his athletic ability
cannot make up for what it looks like he lacks between the ears
Lots to like in what his raw ability is, he can move and throw the ball all over the field, but you just done see a top-flight decision maker.

That generally does not translate well to the NFL.

Let him drop to somewhere closer where we can draft him. Sit him on the bench for a year or two to learn from Dak. Hope that the Manning tradition continues when he is called upon.
