Neither deserved. That clown Dwight handicapped this franchise. Otis wanted to trade him to the Lakers for Drew, but Howard didn't wanna play in L.A. SVG has done a fine job there. Howard simply wanted him fired because he doesn't like it when coaches get on him for making mistakes.

False false false.

Management/ownership didn't want Otis to trade Dwight. Otis Smith spoke with Dwight and decided to proceed forward to trading him, with NJ/BKLN, Chicago, and LAL being the three major destinations.

Management and the Coach/GM were not on the same sheet of music. Dwight now is the biggest loser in all of this.

no, otis deserved it, go back and look at his trades and free agent signings, they were all horrible. and stan van gundy just gets on players nerves in general, it was the same thing in miami. a good coach is easier to find than a franchise player, specially a center in 2012.

from a perception stand point i agree, dwight loses because people will think he was the only one that wanted this, it will give dwight haters like C&LF ammo. if dwight really didnt want to at least try to make it work in orlando, he wouldnt have signed the one year extension.

Stephen A. Smith and other sources are coming out and saying that Dwight Howard's #1 desired location is Brooklyn.

Speaking of Brooklyn, I'm digging their new logo big time. Has a noir film feel to it.

I just don't see Dallas being the kind of spot for Dwight.

But then again I don't see it in Brooklyn either. But if they're able to keep Lopez AND add Dwight, that's a formidable front court. Deron Williams might almost assuredly extend there, then, and they'd only need to add a swingman shooter and a defensive guy on the perimeter. They'd be an instant eastern conference favorite to challenge against Chicago and Miami, and honestly I just don't see it happening for Chicago.

We all know the Knicks are a sad joke, and that's about it. Boston can't keep up this "experience" thing for too long. Hell, they were going to try and blow that thing up this year.

they already have a decent set of role players in brooklyn, if they can add dwight and keep Dwill, they will be instant contenders in the east. im fairly certain that their first round pick is top 3 protected, so if they hit in the lottery, they could very well add dwight AND a top 3 pick! (although im assuming that the top 3 pick might be part of the trade)

Yeah I like the prospects of that. I could root for the Nets too since they're no longer in New Jersey :lmao:

Come to LA Stan!

Not happening unless he's coaching the Clippers.

He's got a better chance of landing in Washington.

the clippers would be a better fit, id question if he would clash with blake, but i think CP3 would respect him and so the rest of the team, including blake, would follow suit

I think there are a lot of misconceptions out there about Blake Griffin.

Washington would be a good fit for him. I'm hoping the Wizards retain the interim guy, though. He had them playing team basketball and he didn't take BS. Love that he benched Blatche for the remainder of the season.

Still in complete disbelief the Wizards extended Grunfield, though. I bet now with Otis Smith leaving Orlando they're wishing they didn't extend Grunfield.

The Howard rumor has legs. The Phil Jackson rumor would be madness if true.

Dragic and Lopez to Dallas would make Dallas one of the Top 3 teams in the West behind San Antonio and OKC.

that was a bad move by the wizards, but Otis Smith is equally terrible. i dont understand why teams dont just hire whomever the number 2 guy is on the spurs, look at presti and demps!
