We'll probably take him in the 3rd claiming someone would have grabbed him before our next selection. That is still our official statement after massive reaches isn't it?

I'll never understand our love of tight ends that we don't use.

Well, they do block also. We might not see enough catches for the TEs but they are an integral part of the offense.

This TE has five teams or more interested. So, I'm happy the Cowboys noticed his talent. Much better than only the Cowboys interested.

Witten is getting old. Escobar might be on PUP. One injury to Witten, Hanna, or Swaim and all of the sudden it is a mad scramble to find a TE.

Also the dreaded small school gem we try to spin as well! Do our scouts ever scout Div 1 college teams past the 1st??? :)

There is enough game footage to make an 11 minute youtube clip.
Does that count for anything?

Witten and Hanna are here, they just drafted Swaim last year. Now they are bringing in this guy for a visit.

Either Escobar is on his way out of town or Garrett has completely misinterpreted what "Tight-End" means.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I hope Dallas scrutinizes his value.

He has a cap hit of $1.3 million and might not make it back fully healthy for a while.

He seems to be constantly wipe open on the seam route even though he doesnt look overly fast. Doesnt look like opposing teams studied much film.

I went to a few of his games here in Southern Illinois, land of corn. I'm glad the Cowboys are interested in him. I know he played at a small school, but at 6'7, 260 lbs, some teams just could not stop him. He catches everything and blocks really well.

He is big and long enough he could bulk up and play tackle as well.

We need desperately a TE or WR that can win matchups deep down the middle of the field.

Duarte from UCLA is that guy but he is 230 pound tweener, doubt he is much of a blocker.

I have no issue with the Cowboys looking at a TE. At this point, I feel like we have Witten at the end of his career and nobody on the Roster that can step in and do what he does. Heck, there aren't many in the NFL who can do that. If this kid is somebody who could develop into that, I'd say that's good scouting.
