It was a good game tonight. Rockwall had a real shot at going up 21-0 midway through the first quarter (but the INT was dropped) after previously scoring two TDs off of two straight Dragon turnovers. They were still up 28-14 in the 2nd quarter when the Southlake offense finally got into gear. 28-28 at the half, and it was tied again 35-35 at the end of the 3rd when Southlake pulled away for a 49-42 win. Good game - Rockwall played them hard.

High school football should be played on Friday nights.

True, but having to go to one every week, I enjoy having a Friday night off every once in a while.

Well, being that it's nearly 4am and I'm still editing my Southlake/Rockwall video so it'll be done before I leave at 7am for another big game in Longview tomorrow morning, let me clarify that by saying I enjoy not having to beat Friday rush hour every Friday.

I forgot to mention that a lot of high schools now share stadiums, so when they're not alternating home games they have a Thursday or Saturday game fit in. I've seen this so far in Garland, Rockwall, Grapevine-Colleyville, Denton, and Plano. I don't think they prefer it that way - it's just done to avoid a scheduling conflict.
