FRISCO, Texas – Three OTA workouts a week for three consecutive weeks begin on Tuesday, here at The Star.

The full team minicamp is scheduled for June 13-15.

Training camp will begin sometime around that third week in July.

And for this Dallas Cowboys team, the defending NFC East champs, seems as though heading toward the 2017 season it’s the same worries, next year...

I disagree with him. Its not familiar this year. This year Dallas thought of a good plan, drafted it, now will implement it. If it works out, its going to be something to watch for a long time. I think all Cowboy fans can agree to give it a chance. Its a long time coming that Dallas has devoted this much effort into a plan that they believe in and has promise. They stuck to it, used a deep draft on it and if they believe in it, let it play out this year and be ready for next season. Classes are fine, but the real education is on the field. Let the best of the best pound on them, let it educate them, as long as you teach them, keep it loose and remind them its for next season everything will be ok. The problem would be if we forgo it to go 10-6 or something like that, No one wins. Let the players learn and see what develops like Brown last year. When Brown was drafted no one expected the kind of season he had. Let it play out. These rookies have a golden opp without stress to learn, play the game they dedicated their lives to and learn their crafts. If they win, great, if not, learn, educate yourself. Dont worry about the record, learn learn learn.

Hockey dead to me (flyers fan); basketball dead to me (76ers fan - they had a chance at two top 5 picks in the draft and THAT even fell apart), baseball dead to me (Phillies fan)

Training camp can't get here soon enough

He continues to find new ways to lecture fans about how they don't know what time it is with this team. I would call him the worst writer that covers the Cowboys but can you be considered a writer if you are in their marketing department?

Not sure what you call a defense that doesn't turn the ball over and doesn't get sacks but I call this defense manure.

If talking crap was the same as developing topic out using parts of an OP, then this would be the top of the world.

Mickey is the ultimate Company Man. Or the ultimate shill if you want to be less polite. The article ignores pass D while slobbering all over the Run D. Got news for ya MIck= it was the Pass D that ended our season.

Now we SHOULD have a better D this year but with a new secondary and a still suspect pass rush it could be kind of not so good early on.

All Mickey was trying to do, was be positive despite a possibility of some fans to falling off the proverbial wagon, post haste.

there is a difference between being positive and being the ultimate shill.

And the stupidity of the Mickey bashing continues. Guess it is still the "IN" thing on here to bash Mickey. One would think fans would want positive articles, considering all the other negativity out there. But then again, it is par for here too to be overly negative.

I hate the way Spags writes. Clunky word choice.

So many folks see a positive message from Mickey and take it as a call to bad mouth to make themselves feel better.

You were expecting a novel instead of football talk?

Novel? No. I just expect professional writers to write well. IMO, I'd rather listen to him talk football than read his words.
