Just thought I'd pick a positive topic for my first post.
I definitely do not think he is Jerry's hand puppet.

How was right about Newman too...

However, I would never ever regard him as an objective news source regarding Jerry and the Cowboys. I treat him as I do Michael Moore. His points are insightful on occasion, but his foremost intent is perpetuating his own agenda.
Mickey is a mouthpiece for the Cowboy organization. His job is to temper expectations when they're too high, reinvorgate the fan base when its distraught and, most importantly, deflect criticism from management (read Jerry Jones).
Also, I completely agree with the poster who metioned Mickey's juvenile behavior towards fans with whom he disagrees.

Just how many different names is Mick posting under around here? 1,000?rexrobinson;1639065 said:My only gripe about the Mickster is how he can really go off on people who don't agree with him and has this tone that seems to say, "You have no common football sense if you don't agree with me!"

All last year before Bledsoe was benched he really dogged on Tony Romo saying there is no possible way an undrafted free agent QB could lead this team out of a wet paper sack. He mocked the fans who brought up Romo. His favorite saying was, "There was a reason he went undrafted.".
Once again, It amazes me that journalist think they are the authority on whatever sport they are covering. In journalism school did they take "Football Theory" or "Mechanics of a perfect pass" along with their english and communication classes? Journalist have no more insight into the sport they cover than John Q. Six pack. They may have access that we don't have but true understanding of the game and whatnot...they are not our superiors.
