Speak Your Mind, Do You Like the Selection of Sean Lee

"I am not crazy about it."

Probably because he won't make much of an impact THIS year barring injury.

But this is an awesome pick for 2011 and beyond. Great value.

I like it but i'm not crazy about it because i thought there were other dudes who could've been drafted there. IF Lee pans out then i'll be fine with it.

I wish they could just start the season now 'cause having the Mavs and Rangers as your main sports fix is depressing.

I love it no matter wh it was b/c I dont want to be the guy rooting against his teams players. I just question how much smarts helps you when Michael Turner has his cleats on your face and DeAngelo Williams jumps over you

I like it. he has all the attributes in a football player I like.

He seems like he will excel at the little things and he is a good guy off the field.

He seemingly is going to fit right in with the other guys on this team.

I'm glad Dallas stuck to their board and took players they felt were quality over strickly need. If we have some holes to fill heading into camp we can still look to FA as well trades.

I've liked to get him for a couple months now.

He'll be a starter for us next season.

Good point Jbell...good point. But let's be honest, do we really think Brooking and/or James will make it through another season intact? Sure hope so, but odds are they won't....sucks but that's the biz. Williams and Lee need to put on their big boy pants early and saddle up because even if they don't start we'll need them to contribute. Sean will be up to the task. Williams? I'm optimistic if he can stay healthy because he's VERY physical. Barbie? Back to special teams I guess!!!!!!!

Like the player but it was not a priorty position IMO. I was looking for a safety or OL help. But Brooking isn't a kid anymore and Carpenter doesn't look like he will ever turn the corner as a starter so some inside LB help isn't a bad thing.

Screw the spurs, -just needed to get that off my chest.

He is a steal, he seems like a high quality guy and a heck of a player.

It is hard to argue against BPA when people constantly talk about BPA until that BPA is not the guy you want.

It is also the first time in a long time that I remember jerry trading up with both of the first two picks instead of trading down.

Now...I won't lie, I had my heart set on some FS prospects and maybe an Olineman. But I also have to remember, as do others, that jerry said time and time again that they were not going to be locked into making need picks concerning Oline and FS.

Again...we got great value and it is hard for anyone to argue that we did not take BPA in these first two picks.

The question now remains if we will look to acquire a veteran to help in the FS area or Oline area. Will we just go with what we have or is there someone still left in the draft that they consider a good developmental player at those positions.

Lots of options to choose from again.

Im neutral. Im usually have a very strong opinion on most subjects but here is my position.

I think we got good value, and a good player...potentially very good player. Every Team needs a guy like Lee on it. My only thing is, I dont feel we had to give up a pick for him.

Solid pick. I truly believe Carpenter will be traded to Miami for a 5th round pick tomorrow. The nickel LB job is Sean Lee's job to lose.

A steal. A Wade Phillips guy. You wanted an impact player...you just got it.

...And he is not an OL or Safety.

Over who. KB had one heck of a year last year, and James has come off of two solid years. Whose spot is he taking? He may start in two years.

Exactly. I was set on OL but can't say that would be the best value. Drafting can't be about just need. That is what got us in trouble when we drafted a Lineman because we felt we needed one, all that did was brought Peterson and Jacobs that failed to earn a role on the team. You have scouts you hire to check these kids out listen to these guys who have spent the time and energy doing the research on this picks
