There are times when I'm glad Jerry is the GM. This is one of those times.

There are 3 factors that make this a horrible, horrible, horrible idea.

1. Haynesworth spent last season quietly complaining about the amount of run responsibility he had in their 4-3. He doesn't want to have to deal with the run he wants to be strictly a pass rusher.

Now you want him to play DE in a 3-4 where his entire purpose will be to worry about the run? Uhhh...no.

2. He's lazy. Period. People can make all the excuses they want for the guy but he's proven it over and over and over in his career and he proved it again last year. The only time the guy doesn't play lazy is when he's going for a contract. When he's got one he's lazy and doesn't care. Again, no.

3. He plays, if you're extremely lucky, 50% of your defensive snaps during the year due to his laziness and the fact that he's completely out of shape all the time. So now you want to get rid of Spears who will show up, and play hard, every down of every game for you that you want him in with a guy who likes to take huge chunks of games off? Again, no.

There is absolutely zero upside to bringing in this guy.

Well put. He's a rare talent but not a football guy. I guess you can say hes a businessman though lol...

Nope.

We've had enough of those players come through here.

I wouldn't trade a 7th for him. We got Ratliff in the 7th.

So I guess all the cues about fantasy and imagination couldn't deter the cheap, insulting come backs

You don't think there will ever be a salary cap again?

I think it will be back, hopefully with a rookie cap, when a new CBA is signed. If a new CBA isn't signed there will be a lock out.

This guys attitude and work ethic is worse than TO's in my book.

Fat Albert is nothing like TO. TO worked his arse off, practiced hard and played hard. Should NEVER mention his name with Fat Alberts in the same breath. You may not like TO but his work ethic should never be questioned...

This is mostly true. TO worked his butt off. He was just a piece of crap teammate. His routes did tend to be sloppy at times, though.

This is just a fantasy but wouldn't you guys do it? He's on the trading block with the skins and he doesn't want to play the nose for them.

They need some help setting up that new 3-4 and Spears fits that. He's an immediate starter at DE for them and can play back up NT in a pinch.

Haynesworth will then LDE along with Hatcher, and then give us the most disruptive 4 man rushing front in the league.

Spencer, Rat, Haynesworth, Ware

not just no but hell no...guys a dog

and he's already crying about the 3-4 scheme up there, by the way...we play a 3-4

Naw, not mostly true, TRUE. TO worked harded then most. Sloppy routes? Maybe at times but he produced. I'm not defending TO and even though I liked him, I also thought he needed to go but to question his work ethic is just simply ridiculous...... Also, I bet 85-90% of his teammates would disagree with you on him being a piece of crap teammate..

I thought that was pretty obvious? As in I was already stating the obvious.

Haynesworth = bad attitude, bad worth ethic
TO = bad attitude, good work ethic

Who's a worse football player?

Fat Albert is by far the worst football player. He's never inshape, he's lazy, and he takes plays off consistantly. To me, it's obvious who the worst player is... Also, TO has been a MONSTER in the league for a looooong time and his numbers prove it. He's a future HOF player. Ahh, Fat Albert, I don't think so....
