Basically, Spears was playing down T.O. as a distraction and bad teammate. James sounded as if TO was a problem, citing his drop balls and the media distractions he brings with him.

leave it to ESPN to get the 2 of the weakest players on the team! I have dollars to donuts James and Spears will not even be on the team when the new stadium opens!!!

He is an above average run defender but shouldnt be in on Nickel situations ( which he is) or passing downs

This I agree with. Pretty good in run defense, we have better LBers that could fill that spot in the Nickel.

Bobby Carpenter would be one choice to come in for Bradie at MLB in Nickel situations.

The problem is that teams also pass on 1st and 2nd down. After Payton showed how weak he is in pass coverage, every team singled him out on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd downs. He's a major liability because he's too slow.

Whether he's "above average" against the run is debatable.
