ESPN just reported that Spears is a healthy scratch.

I heard that too, I was not sure what they meant. Weird.

OP made a mistake with the title, should read Spears not Spencer.

Fixed it. Thank you.

Spears Benched

Spencer inactive

Both on the bench for diff reasons

Cowboys inactives: OLB Anthony Spencer, P Brian Moorman, FS Matt Johnson, DE Marcus Spears, LB Orie Lemon, WR Cole Beasley, C Ryan Cook

Also read somewhere that Spencer has a 6 week injury...

Cook also inactive. Scary if Costa's back locks up.

Wow, this worries me. I realize neither is a world beater but we need at least one of them to finish the game.

All in all, I have a good feeling about today. Dallas wins 31 - 20.

Looks like Coleman is in, along with Arkin since Cook is out. Wonder if Spears is giving way to Crawford. Crawford might have more ability to push the pocket and play the run

THAT is one that worries me.

This game should play to what are supposedly Costa's strengths being shorter and stronger. That is what he is up against as regards the Ravens DTs.

But if his back acts up again then its Arkin at Center.

Sounds like that hammy problem for Cook is not minor- he caught the CHD:

Cowboy Hamstring Disease

Healthy scratch. Also, Alex Albright will start today.

This makes me happy. Alex is a player who I think can really help us. Pressure!

Obviously none of us know the full extent of his injury but it sounds like a severe strain (partial tear) of his pec. I can tell you that if it's anything like the partially torn pec that I had last year, it took many months to feel right. Spencer has to use his pecs a great deal when taking on blockers. The amount of force required to take on a 300+lb lineman is significant. I hope he recovers quickly but this sounds like a tough injury to come back from 100% this season.

Man I wish they would play Cole. More than he has anyway.
