not much talk about coaching changes planned for ST, otherwise I think we would have learned of either a firing or new hire by now.....maybe the thinking is we need better players who can execute on ST---Crayton and Austin and Thompson can only offer an occasional 'burst' but not on a consistent level..
not every team can have a Devin Hester but you would think over the course of a season someone will rise up and make a name for himself?

at least we are ok with kicker and punter and LS.....

I think one of our biggest concerns, going into this offseason, is getting more production out of our Special teams for sure. We need MUCH better kickoff and punt returns and we need our coverage to be much more consistant.

I worry about coverage more than the return games. Austin is pretty good as a returner, and Crayton, although not explosive, is steady as a PR.

I will really start to worry if Killa leaves, he commands a double team on ST which helps a lot. Deon seemed effective when fit but apart from that we need better consistency and penetration from the coverage teams and some explosion on returns - draft pick/Stanback?

It's strange how our ST is a strength and weakness at the same time. We have arguably the best punter, kicker and long snapper in the league, yet we just can't get it together on the coverage teams. As far as return men, Stanback looked AWFULLY GOOD to me in that first Philly game. Too bad his shoulder went out. It would've been nice to see if he could develop into something special during the season.

I think the kickoff return improve with Austin back there however punt return was still less than stellar. Main problem though in my eyes is the coverage teams on both kickoffs and punts. Dallas must do a better job in this area and force teams to travel more yards to get into scoring range.

The Kick and Punt Return are important, but we need to improve the coverage teams for next year that's a MUST
