It's almost pointless to even watch special teams anymore. Seems every time you look, there is a flag on the return team of some sort. It's becoming ridiculous. It's to the point where I just want to take a knee on a kickoff to get the ball to the 25 or just call fair catch as to not lose any more yards. Even though so many of them are called well before the ball is even fielded. I never remember this amount of flags on special teams growing up.

I concur, does seem to be more flags than ever before. I wonder if the numbers support this?

I wonder this as well. Could just be the games I happen to watch have a lot of them. Dallas sure seems to have them quite often. Especially when we played the Giants on SNF. I think we had them on 4 straight punt returns.

It's been this way for at least 10 years. It literally seems that there is a penalty more often than not on the return team.

I said last week that Seattle was going to get the wrong end of penalties this week because of the calls and non calls for them at home. I wonder how the Seattle fans feel today?.....
