Special Teams play

Ok nobody is talking about that great special teams play where we flipped the field before the half.

I believe we were punting deep in our own end - if that was Jones and the old Cowboys, he punts it short and eagles get the ball at midfield. It was 20 -7 if they score on the shorter field its 20-14 with them getting the ball to start the second half...and we all know how that movie ends...

The little things matter - I've been KILLING special teams for YEARS now in the game day threads - but gotta give them credit when due.

I cant Recognize the Specials Teams yet, I placed them on a 2 game suspension after the roughing the kicker debacle. "that was awesome though!-Hope they keep improving"

Having a legitimate punter on the roster makes a huge difference.

Anger has done an excellent job with directional punting - his kicks generally have been long with good hang time. Anger is #2 in the league in net punt average, with half of his punts landing inside the 20. The Cowboys are allowing 3.1 YPR on punts, which is excellent, but the numbers league wide on returns are very low for punts.
