We miss Bisaccia... our STs units are good for regular penalties and negative plays. Have not seen a bug return or huge positive play this season...

Just not impressed at all with Quinn. His unit is undisciplined and under-achieving. He needs to go. In fact I would have fired him after the NO game when Gregory ran into the kicker.

I had honestly seen enough this season to know we need better coaching and execution from our STs.

According to stats

Dallas 14 ST penalties
Oakland 15 ST penalties

According to the eye ball test... our special teams suck. Can you think of one positive, game altering play this year?

I can think of several momentum killing penalties that have set us back or pinned us deep.

Jones has regressed. Our coverage units are not as tight. Our return game is still non existant. We need more from this unit than we are getting— and they were better under Bisaccia

I don't recall them giving up huge returns on a regular basis, and I think the lack of any true returner option with Austin hurt doesn't help at all.

For the most part, our kickoff and punt coverage has been pretty good.

We don't get big returns with Beasley, never have.

Just let the ball hit in the endzone - don't ever bring it out.

I wonder what the average starting line is for all NFL teams who bring it out. It has to be less than the 25 given penalties!

The special teams play has been no where close to special. They are a liability in coverage for punts.

Our ST is terrible.

But to miss our old ST coach is more the point. We need an upgrade

We have the worst punt return group in the league. Might as well fair catch every time. A hold is almost guaranteed.

It's more of a product of the new league rules, which limits any sort of formidable success on kickoffs.

As far as the punt group is concerned, we are missing Tavon, so that's a huge deal. Beasley, as a returner, is basically just a sure-handed guy that fair catches the ball, or at least that's the way it looks. We could definitely do without the block in the back penalties though, and Randy Gregory trucking the New Orleans punter.

Maher looks pretty good to me with a little more consistency. There's got to be some credit due there.

I agree we do get a lot of holding penalties on ST's, that's execution and we have no weapon on returns out there.

We need to find a viable return threat and you would see the difference. Beasley is terrible and although electrifying, Tavon Auston has a history of losing the ball.
