I knew nothing, and youse guys filled me up with football knowledge.

I fill like Rick Gosselin. Is that a good thing?

Somebody had to fill the "Cowboy Joe" void. He is still the man IMO.

Yes thanks so much to those guys and the vast amount of time and effort it took to track all this information down. I pray next year we can move past the offensive lineman research.

Ha! That takes me back. Some good arguments on those two.

Yeah. Suggs did turn out to be the better player but I really owned Rack in some of those discussions.

Just got off the phone with some draft-day dish, which may make the Cowboys happy.

The preliminary and permanent caveats apply here. Teams are blowing some toxic smoke right now, so treat these rumors appropriately.

-- That aside, I'm hearing Texas safety Kenny Vaccaro "is slipping a bit," while LSU safety Eric Reid now looks like he's firmly in the 1st round.

When I asked what "slipping a bit" means, I was told into the 20-30 range on both players. If a minor drop gets Vaccaro past the rumored gauntlet of safety-minded teams just ahead of Dallas' 18th overall pick , the Saints, Rams and Steelers at 15, 16 and 17 respectively, I think Dallas grabs him quickly at 18, unless....

-- Yesterday's big evening meme has Utah DT Star Lotulelei slipping into the Cowboys' orbit. The NFL Network's Mike Mayock gifted the big tackle to Dallas in his final mock draft. This is a drop which was inconceivable before the Combine, when Lotulelei was a regular top-5 selection. His rating wobbled when a heart test in February produced troubling results. Cowboys Nation guest and Optimum Scouting head Eric Galko mentioned in a chat that he had spoken to an expert who believed dehydration may have contributed to the odd results.

xwalker is great. He deserves another shout out. I think he's a little too reliant on measurables and workout numbers but the time he puts into it is commendable. It's always a good read.

Thanks for the shout-out guys.

I echo the sentiment to Risen and RS12 and multiple others that really dig in on trying to figure out the draft.

I feel that I understand the draft and NFL players better due to the discussions that I have here as opposed to studying in isolation.

A different perspective is always nice. Can help level your head when you really start to become enamored with a player.

You could not have owned me if your player lost.
