Ellis is to small to play DT.

Did you miss the "Passing downs" part?

I don't remember that but I only hope it was a few times because it couldn't have been pretty.

The giants often put all 4 of their DEs on the field together on obvious passing downs last year.

And it wasn't pretty... for their opponents.

I could see him playing DE in some passing situations so that Spencer could be at OLB with Ware. Spencer has to get healthy first though.

So could I.

He'd get manhandled by guards and centers

Not true, he's played D.T. in 4 man lines on passing situautions in the past with a lot of success, so not only can he do it, he HAS DONE IT, hence the reason I want em to go back to it and get their 4 best pass rushers rushing the Q.B. on passing downs.
