Spencer is a big key to a successful Cowboys Season. He has to create havic on his side to free Ware up on the other or our QB Pressure will drastically decline this season. Sometimes I feel Spencer is invisible during the Games.

Spencer pressured Leftwich quite a bit Sunday. He just didn't get there. If he keeps it up, the sacks will come.

I agree. He has to provide the same thing Ellis gave us. Believe me I have no problem with Dallas letting Ellis go but I'm not going to kid myself in thinking Ellis did not provide good rushing ability and run stopping ability. It is time for Spencer to step up to the plate and get it done.

I haven't been impressed with Spencer yet. He doesn't look very quick and his pass rush looks weak. I'm optimistic though, he's a big strong dude. Maybe with some more game time he'll find his way.

I'm more concerned about his run defense. He didn't maintain gap control too many times for my tastes. His pass rushing looked fine to me, although Jeremy Trueblood and Donald Penn are not the most stout pass protectors.

Well the coaches seem to be really excited about him. I don't think he lacks the skills to be dominant, we just got out-schemed on the defensive side of the ball on Sunday. All the players seemed out of position at times.

I haven't felt good about him since his meeting with Wade in Hard knocks.

I hope he's not just a guy showing up for a paycheck each week.

The coaches rave about his play against the run, but I see him get run out of the way on runs to his side often enough to wonder where his reputation comes from.

I'm afraid we're going to find out we got rid of Ellis a year too early this season.

He pressured him to throw the ball within 5+ seconds. ;)

I agree. If you have the game recorded go back and watch it. He was very active.

He came close on the play that Ware got hurt on and he got held on a few others where he clearly beat his man.

If nothing else he should've drew some holding calls but the refs don't want to call blatant holding sometimes for some reason.

This could be said of most of the defense, though,as the Cowboys have admitted. They were trying to mix in things, such as run blitzes, that they had not practiced much and did not get better on defense until they started playing straight up.

Exactly! I really don't understand what game so guys watch at times. If you're expecting way more than about 4 QB pressures a game from him, you're gonna be greatly dissapointed this season.

I guess this guy is just gonna get the Jenkins treatment this season.

For this game, it prolly started with Daryl's bone headed analysis on that one play where he got pressure, saying he needs to get there earlier. I don't know how faster anyone could've gotten to the QB on that one play without a free run.

But then he did point out that Spencer got held on one of the pressures but we are still getting this from fans.

I'm expecting two sacks from Spencer on Sheli (He's got her number,) no less. Oh by the way, he wears #93.;)

Why do people love to hate Spencer? Either they're expecting too much or they aren't watching the game closely enough.
