I am telling you this guy could almost be as good as Ware next year. He is a force already.

He's close already.....in fact, he's out-played D-Ware a couple of times....last week for example. D-Ware was pretty absent with only one tackle and not many pressures at all. Spencer out-played him.

Now, some will think that this is a slam on D-Ware, which it's not....FCOL.

I know he doesn't have the sacks or the game plan against him....but as a whole he has been a disruptive as Ware this season.

Nope but he sure as heck compliments him.

Ware really does get those double and tripple teams most of the game. Thats not some myth.

Spencer is just taking advantage of it.

He is very good. Ware is more speed and finesse and then comes in with the power. Spencer is more power but forces you to respect the speed. They are the best bookend OLB/DEs in the league - good agains the pass, good against the run and can drop back into coverage and not make fools of themselves - Spencer actually looks pretty good and Ware seems to be a good tackler when dropping back in the zone.

Spencer has been a pleasant surprise. I wasn't sure he would develop, but boy has he ever. And Ware, did you see that forced fumble tonight? People use the word beast like it's going out of style, but that was a beast of a play.

Drawing double-triple coverage usually takes a player out of a game and opens things up for the rest of the team. :laugh2:
Every play Spencer gets, Ware should get 50% credit seriously

That is BS. Spencer deserves more credit than that. Spencer gets doubled too.

I love Spencer but comparing him to a top 5 Pass Rusher all time is ridiculous.

Spencer is turning into an outstanding player, and he and Ware are turning into an unstoppable duo. Spencer reminds me of Merriman with how strong he is, and I think he's the perfect complement to Ware.

O-Lines can't get comfortable because we move them around, and they're so different in how they rush. Ware with speed and finesse, Spencer with brute strength.

Lets not go overboard about Spencer being as good as Ware now. Ware was just eating Jason Peters today, when it mattered most. You know, Peters I believe is starting LT for NFC Pro-bowl or is he backup? Either way, he just abused him today. Sacks don't even tell half the story.

But Spencer is almost turning to be unblockable one on one himself. Which Wade had said several times about him during TC, but we never saw on game day, till last 2-3 weeks especially.

He has taken this defense to another level. Having a threat on both sides makes our D nasty. NASTY!

On the field, Ware/Spencer is starting to look alot like Taylor/Banks or Jackson/Swilling.

Dude, I keep an eye on D-Ware on almost every play and he's NOT double-triple teamed...sometimes, he's not even chipped by a RB.

I've said this in past weeks that I think that there MAY BE something more wrong with D-Ware than the injuries that we know of OR his leg injury is affecting him more than we are being told.

Now, I did notice tonight that he was doubled more than he was last week.

In the end, we don't know what defense is called and if he is told to keep contain unless a run and THEN go up field or what....

I was wrong about Spencer. I said early in the year that I liked his overall game but doubted he could provide enough burst off the edge. Wade is a genius in using the guy's abilities.
