Can the Cowboys still workout a Contract with Spencer that allows them the ability to take a lesser Cap Hit than the 8.8 million for 2012 or is the 8.8 million Guaranteed to him regardless ?

IF we work out a long term deal then we can lower the cap hit. Until he signs the offer sheet we can also pull the tag (hope hope hope)

If he signs the tag then we either do a long term deal or pay him $8.8 million this year

I believe they have until July 16th to have a new deal signed. After that Spencer has to play under 1 yr contract for $8.8M.
