Spiderman Or TDKR?

The Avengers was better than both. And I'm sure a bunch of panty wearing fanboys will attack me for MY ****ING OPINION, but whatever. The Avengers was the best comic hero film in 2012. And Batman fans will call me a braindead ******. So be it.

Ok, but I wasn't asking about the Avengers.

As I mentioned in another thread, people who enjoy the darker, more "film-noir" movies show incredible amounts of disdain for anyone who dares to disagree with their intellectually superior point of view. So I'm also sure you're right that a bunch of people will attack you - but I won't be one of them because you're spot on when you say Avengers was the best movie of those 3.

It's also the best movie of the year so far, and while there are always surprises, I just don't see any upcoming film having any chance whatsoever of knocking them off that perch until December when The Hobbit will give them a run for their money.

For those of you who've seen both films which was better?
Both were mediocre, but I'd have to give a slight edge to Batman, even though half the dialogue was totally uninteligible.

Haven't seen either.

Batman tomorrow though.

If its anything like the last one, the answer is TDK.

OT:

Did see The Avengers. It was good. I would expect TDK to be better but won't know until tomorrow.

You must have an extremely high standard for films. I thought both were excellent. I give a slight edge to TDKR.

The standard I have for films is usually previous films of the same genre and especially those of the same series. If TDKR came out 2 years after Batman & Robin, arguably the worst comic book movie of all time, I'd probably have a more generous opinion.

But TDKR is going to be compared primarily to TDK, in which case it falls well short.

I won't see this one until it comes to home video, but if it's anything like the last one, I'll take Avengers all day every day and twice on Sunday.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. To each their own, only the fanBOYs will tell you you're braindead.

The normal fans realize not everyone loves what they love.

Edit: I'll put it to you this way though, comparing TDKR and The Avengers is like comparing the movies Heat and Independence Day.

Haven't seen Spider-man, but between TDKR and the Avengers, I'm giving the edge to TDKR. The Avengers was great, no doubt, but if I had to re-watch a movie again, it would be TDKR. The "bad" guy in the Avengers, Loki was nothing special in terms of bad guys and that really affects my overall impression of the movie. Bane was such a bad-***, it made the movie totally enjoyable.

My rating of The Amazing Spider-Man: http://cowboyszone.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4628222&postcount=190

My rating of The Dark Knight Rises: http://cowboyszone.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4628226&postcount=191

TDKR. Final answer.

lol! Other than previously posting that it was "OUTstanding", I've never rated The Avengers on the forum. Crazy. Let's see...

In short, the movie focused a little too much on Iron Man and not more on the other characters. My initial rating would be a 8.5/10.0. However, Robert Downey Jr. has had the most success in transferring his character to screen in the Iron Man franchise, so I'll give the film a break and say 9.0/10.0.

Not bad for a long-time (nearly 40 year) DC/Marvel fanboy, if I do say so myself. :laugh1:

PS: The Dark Knight. 10.0/10.0. Just for the forum record. :laugh2:

Dark Knight easily for me. Avengers was a LOT of fun though. Spiderman is third for me.
