Splitting time with 2 RBs vs. 2 QBs... what's the difference?

Parcells has no qualms about consistently playing 2 RBs throughout each game (and 2 TEs and 2-3 WRs for that matter)... why not play 2 QBs for different situations and to give defenses multiple looks and multiple things to worry about?

Romo could not do worse than 60% of DB's drives... that we all agree.

Play them both!

that would be difficult for the wr/te/rb because they both play a different style. their arm strengths are diff. their accuracy is diff. one is a proven choker one hasn't. see different playing styles

This, to me, would be a catastrophy. Landry did it for a time with Roger and Craig. One of the very few things I never liked from Coach Landry. Hard to get on the same page, offensively, when you have two different signal callers.

Then we cold rotate in LT's...I mean, McQ couldn't do worse than Flozell in that Eagles game.

The idea is terrible. Different styles of throws for receivers to adjust to, killing momentum from QB to QB, the drawbacks are endless. This isn't college, where you can just trot out your best athletes at QB and have them drop back, and run.

The only way I could see something like that working is if the Titans only played Vince Young in goal line or 4th and short situations because of his ability to sneak/roll out, and then played Collins the rest of the time. Just straight up splitting time at quarterback would be a disaster.

play 2 qbs in the backfield at the same time. no one knows whos taking the snap, and no one knows what kind of play will form. it will completely throw off the defense. it will be revolutionary.

or not.

How about 11 QBs? They could lateral to each other down the field. You'd never know where the ball is going to go. Unstoppable, I tell you.

The big difference is a QB is your leader on the field. A running back is not. You cannot be a half time leader and you cannot follow two leaders into battle.

I agree, the QB must be the unquestioned leader of the offense, if not the whole team.

Ironic-- this historical incident is completely analogous to what we are facing now. A younger more mobile QB vs the immobile but experienced vet. Both ultimately faced each othe in Superbowl 12 and the Cowboys pressured Morton so badly they forced 8 turnovers (Randy White and Harvey Martin were co-MVPs).

Romo seems to have "it" (I know, I'm supposed to say 'moxie'), but we haven't a clue how he'll take punishment or respond to adversity.

Running back isn't the leader of the offense. It's not a position chaos ensues if the team doesn't have a singular face to turn to.

And it's not a position where your legs take quite the beating. I mean, it's tough for one runner to take 28-30 carries every game, every season. Quarterbacks can typically throw 30 balls a game without any problem.

I actually think this would work for the Falcons.
