Agree BIG time with Shilique Calhoun of Michigan State. Hasn't formally declared but he's expected to any day. Walter Football has mocked him to us:

I've seen every game he's ever played and he's explosive, disciplined and extremely effective. His Soph. year in '13 was a little better than his Junior year in '14 as he drew alot more attention this year. He was nicknamed 'the Freak' and often times showed it. He'd be a wonderful choice to pair with Lawrence for the coming years:



This special ran on the Big Ten Network and you can see how sharp the kid is. His enthusiasm and personality are contagious and was elected Captain before his Junior year. Outstanding pick and would over qualify for a 'RKG'

People that mock him to us at least have an idea about what we like in this scheme.
He is large, athletic and very versatile.
Can play both run and pass. Can stunt and twist or just attack.

People that mock Beasley to us are probably lazy saying they need more pressure let's hand them the best pure pass rusher.
Those wide 9 and 3-4 teams will really like Beasley.
He is a heck of a pass rush threat.

Probably shouldn't even waste your breath on Beasley, the dude is not big enough to play in this scheme. Can you imagine him trying to run defend against an NFL LT?

We only rush 4 so a guy like Calhoun is much more reasonable. At this point before FA though its basically a crapshoot.

I expect to see more 4-3 defenses draft a pass rushing SLB/DE hybrid like Von Miller with the Broncos. Miller played as a 4-3 SLB on base downs and played DE in pass rushing situations. Obviously, he also rushed the passer from his SLB position also.

Beasley is too small for DE & is borderline OLB. He reminds me of a small Dee Ford of Auburn & he hasn't fared very well in the NFL.
