I would be fine with the first 3 picks there.

Give me Dexter Jackson in the third round and I'd be thrilled.

I think this is posted in the draft section already, but yeah, pretty good draft.

I can't believe Jerry nixed the idea of our drafting a WR in the first round. Either he realistically thinks he'll get a vet WR using one of our first rounders or he plans on trading down & grabbing a 2nd & 3rd rounder -- one of which will be used to draft a WR, etc. Hopefully the first rounder we keep will be used to draft a CB but am afraid we might end up with Felix Jones as all we got to show.

I don't care if Jerry feels Glenn will return or is excited about Stanbach. Nothing happens until either produces on the field & the odds aren't good that either can contribute significantly this year. This is Jerry's first draft w/o Ireland; we'll see how well he does this year. I just don't want him to make a big splash or get too fancy & we end up not getting good players cause we made some dumb moves. Heck, we made enough dumb moves when Parcells & Ireland were here.

You think the odds are better that an unknown first-round rookie this year, new to the NFL, can contribute earlier this year than a first year player who has been coached by the Dallas coaches for a year?

On what basis do you make that judgment? Or is it not a judgment, just a hunch?

:)

The one thing all these mocks have in common is that no one can seem to agree where slot DRC. Seen him as high as 7 and as low as the bottom of the first.

True, although I do have the tendency to believe he will be well gone before our pick, I do hope he falls that far. We really need someone in our need positions to fall to us, cause I'm for trading #28 down to the beginning of the second if someone doesn't fall. There is just better value there and we can pick up another pick that could give us both the NT and FB we need in later rounds.

Does the name Tom Ciskowski mean anything to you?

I don't know about the rest, but that is one hell of a start to the draft.

Love it! But take out Hardy, for a trade with RW of Detroit, and take out #5th pick for Pacman. I also thank it's way too early to take a QB with a 4. I think we need another receiver some where in there. Never know if there is going to be a Colston in that late group!

I'm still against drafting a WR in the 1st round. I'd prefer DRC at 22 and Branden Albert at 28

Last time we drafted a OL in first round was......did Jerry have hair then?

Although we do need good OL with Barber, cause they do have to hold their blocks for a while....

If the 1st 3 rounds turned out that way, I would pass out! Those are my ideal top 3 picks for us and there's no way I can see it falling that way...too good to be true.

I doubt either will fall that far.

Branden Albert's stock seems to be rising. I'm not sure what the rest of the league thinks of him, but Mayock and the rest of the NFLN crew's absolutely in love w/ this kid and have him going top ten. That's a bit high for a guard, but they seem to think he'll eventually be moved to tackle at some point (sooner than later).

I personally wouldn't take him that high, but I do know the kid can play and wouldn't mind spending #22 on him (if he slides that far) even though it's not a need for us.
