QB: Tony Romo, Jon Kitna, Stephen McGee
McGee to the practice squad isn't going to happen. He would get snatched up right away. Plus he needs the practice time during the year when he gets healthy.
RB: Marion Barber, Felix Jones, Tashard Choice
Deepest position on the team.
FB: Deon Anderson
Makes the team because of his great special teams play and reliability.
WR: Roy Williams, Patrick Crayton, Sam Hurd, Miles Austin, Kevin Ogletree
Don't take from the Ogletree.
TE: Jason Witten, Martellus Bennett, John Phillips
Witten is tremendous, Bennett will have a large role and Phillips is the reliable blocking tight end.
OT: Flozell Adams, Marc Colombo, Pat McQuistan, Doug Free
Cowboys feel good about Free. Hopefully we don't find out this year how good he is.
OG: Kyle Kosier, Leonard Davis, Montrae Holland
Holland makes the team because he's the only true backup guard on the team
OC: Andre Gurode, Duke Preston
Dre' is great and Preston is a solid backup.
DE: Igor Olshanky, Marcus Spears, Jason Hatcher, Stephen Bowen
Sadly this is the deepest position we have on defense.
DT: Jay Ratliff, Junior Siavii
I have huge concerns about Siavii. Dallas will be watching the waiver wire for other players, but Siavii will hardly see the field anyway. He'll spell Ratliff for one or two series.
OLB: Demarcus Ware, Anthony Spencer, Curtis Johnson, Victor Butler, Steve Octavian
Octavian makes the team because Butler is raw and Johnson is coming back from a hamstring injury.
ILB: Bradie James, Keith Brooking, Bobby Carpenter, Jason Williams, Matt Stewart
Hodge goes on IR and this forces us to keep an extra ILB in Stewart.
CB: Terence Newman, Orlando Scandrick, Mike Jenkins, Alan Ball
Mike Mickens is practice squad material and will probably be called up during one point in the season.
S: Ken Hamlin, Gerald Sensabaugh, DeAngelo Smith, Pat Watkins, Michael Hamlin
Watkins makes the team while Hamlin rehabs his broken wrist. I'm not sure about DeAngelo Smith, he may not even make the team. Smith could get cut and we could carry an extra CB like Mickens.
ST: Nick Folk, David Buehler, Mat McBriar, L.P. Ladouceur
Money.
PS: Travis Bright, Keon Lattimore, Julius Crosslin, Marcus Dixon, Mike Mickens, Manuel Johnson, Ryan Gibbons
IR: Brandon Williams, Stephen Hodge
PUP: Robert Brewster
I have a feeling this roster will change a lot once players like Michael Hamlin and Robert Brewster come back from injury. Thoughts? Comments?
EDIT: Jason Williams obviously makes the team and I forgot about him because of the high ankle sprain. Stewart gets the cut and Williams makes the team. Sorry about that!
