I’ve been listening to a lot of sports talk radio the past two days and the consensus seems to be that Dak just can’t read defenses very well. That if Dallas hast to keep Dak then they have to surround him with more weapons and better protection.
Lol, he's had HOF LT, HOF C, HOF RG in front of him, 1st round LT/LG DRAFTED, RT in steele that we will drop bucket loads of cash on, RT in Collins that was a 1st round talent but did dumb things off the field.

I dont know what else you can give him up front

He also ran dez and Amari(we gave up a 1) out of town, had a HOF TE in Witten, has a 1st rnd wr in ceedee, a first round rb in Elliott that was great for 4 year's , a rb in pollard that's pro bowl quality.

I truly don't know what else you can do until you realize it's HIM that's just not good enough.

If you have to troubleshoot and devise ideas and plans to help your quarterback become more effective (and less mistake prone)...maybe you need to try another quarterback?

Honestly I've been saying this but I would keep building the OL. I would go OL in the first round and in another round. One of the top 4 rounds
I go RB and resign Pollard and wave bye bye to Zeke. This is the year they can get rid of Zeke the cap hit is around 6 mil you can use the
difference to sign Pollard and a RB on a 4 year rookie deal in all honesty between Pollard and a rookie RB could keep both contracts at around
10 mil a year if structured correctly. You paid Zeke 18 mil alone this year much higher. Its time to move on from Zeke. The way Daks contract currently
stands it would be 2026 before you could move on with a 3.7 mil give or take cap hit.

Better protection? They've stacked the Oline with high draft picks, pro bowlers, and future hall of famers.

More weapons?
They signed his RB partner to a long term deal; they used #1 picks on 2 receivers, they have a dynamic #2 RB

My God what else can they do? You can't have hall of famers at every position.
Draft OL in the first round this year and nothing else. Look Tyron could get injured as we speak. Martin still plays
at a solid level BUT time can become an issue. I think you have a really good one in Tyler Smith this is the route
I would take again. We shifted this line around entirely too much. In our offense the OL is huge and needs to be
a priority.

They need to get rid of most of the option/choice routes in my opinion.

Over half of his interceptions, this season was because he and the receiver read the defense differently.

They need to look at the WR coach as well as the way they run comebacks and other routes are terrible.

Dak deserves a ton of blame, but the coaches and scheme have to take some of the heat as well, their lack of attention to detail and inability to get everyone on the same page is also a big problem.
I can tell you right now Robert Prince was a horrible hire...hated him here @ Boise St. Couldn't get rid of him fast enough.

The flip-flopping is what's frustrating. There needs to be a hard look at whoever is running this offensive scheme. It's the same as JG when Romo played. JG/Linehan/Moore are clones.

since we're covering what Dak has had......never a Pro Bowl OC...... a junior OC, but never a Pro Bowl OC.

I disagree with drafting another offensive lineman with another premium pick. The front office have committed so many resources to the o line over the past 10 years and it's currently more than good enough to win a Superbowl. If players get injured then you work around it - you can't have 10 amazing o lineman. The o line was very good against a strong front 7 of the 49ers - the issue was Prescott not being good enough to make a couple of throws and not turn over the ball.

If the front office stick with Prescott next season which they don't really have much choice then I would draft a receiver high up. They already made a brainless move by not keeping Cooper - he's such a good route runner and excellent with his hands that he might have made a circus catch or two against the 49ers regardless of the throws by Prescott and it could have been the difference between winning and losing. You look at Jefferson at the Vikings - he basically catches everything and makes a very similar average quarterback in Cousins, look serviceable until they play good teams.

So I would draft a QB in the first round as Prescott's replacement in 2024 (post June cut in 2023 and eat the cap hit if unable to trade), a receiver in the 2nd round and a running back in the 4th round. Defensive tackle in round 3 and cornerbacks in round 5 and 6. Resign LVE at linebacker.

After 75% of your passes are 4 yards, Niners just started jumping the short routes and there you go.

I agree. I don’t care what round. Dak has been hurt a lot lately so maybe the kid comes in and shines. That’s the only way he’s going to get on the field unfortunately. Romo, Dak, and now Purdy all were made by accidents.
My mom told me I was too. Unfortunately, I can't tell you my response here, but she literally fell on the floor laughing.

The HOF support you're speaking of is about ready for a churn. Witten was a shell of his former self, hardly in his prime. Martin has some gas and Tyron Smith may have a year or two, but how can you credit the revolving door O line we've had the last few years as anything but inconsistent?
We have to be honest. Prescott didn't chase anyone out of town, this isn't a soap opera.

If you still walk away with the idea that the offensive roster is playoff caliber, I just think that's inaccurate.

Maybe. If you need optimal conditions and the best protection to succeed, almost any QB can be back there. Some guys just fold no matter what.
Joe burrow is the perfect example.. he's had one of the worst ols in football the last few years but here he is,one game from his second straight SB..in his 3rd year.

We had Hilton open multiple times and dak missed him. I don't care how many weapons you have if Dak can't make the plays.
That one on the left sideline was a td,but noooo, Sybil decided to pass Into double coverage instead... brilliant
