I hate it too. Why not do it in the middle of the week during a normal work day? Why does it have to screw my weekend? Set it at one time (either daylight saving time, or standard) and be done with it.Don't forget to set your clocks ahead. I am one who thinks this silly practice needs to end...
The reasons for doing it have long passed and the latest research shows it is actually detrimental and adds to the holiday depression of many people.Don't forget to set your clocks ahead. I am one who thinks this silly practice needs to end...

Saskatchewan in Canada does not practice it, Alberta has talked of moving away from it as well.Arizona doesn't even follow it. I think they're the only state that doesn't practice it.
Either way, I'm excited for some "longer days".
I think IND ignores it as well.Arizona doesn't even follow it. I think they're the only state that doesn't practice it.

Not "time"...."daylight".absolutly silly. first, how in the world does this actually save time? bloody nuisance if you ask me.
Best day of the year for me is the day almost all the leaves are out on the trees. You know Winter is definitely behind you, and a long way ahead of you. Next favorite is Summer Solstice.I'm fine with ending the practice as long as it stays with daylight favoring the evenings. Dark at 4:30/5:00 o'clock in the winter flat out sucks. This Sunday is the best day of the year in my book.
Not true. It’s actually good for you both mentally and physically as without it, we would be getting off work when it’s dark. That’s not good for you.The reasons for doing it have long passed and the latest research shows it is actually detrimental and adds to the holiday depression of many people.
In the Winter, it's usually dark on my way to work and home from work..........Now what? Not true. It’s actually good for you both mentally and physically as without it, we would be getting off work when it’s dark. That’s not good for you.

I'm not for or against DST. Though honestly, I'm usually in bed before it get dark in the Summer, so I don't really get much benefit from it.
DST is a mixed bag
It is nice having the extra hour of daylight after work for 8 months
I'd also be fine if they ditched it though.
I think it's more valuable to the norther states...fwiw
That's tough being right on the edge. Is Illinois in CST?Personally I wouldn't mind it here in Indiana if we are in central but no, we are eastern and it sucks.
I like it when you get like that!Arizona doesn't even follow it. I think they're the only state that doesn't practice it.
