I feel bad for Coach Avery Johnson. 
I didn't realize Don Nelson had already set him up for training sessions so he could pass the reigns to Avery. He was always one of my favorite Spurs.
But it's pretty clear that the Mavs are no longer a threat in the Western Conference. If they hadn't lost Nowitzki that one year, it might have been a different story in the playoffs, but I really fear the up and coming teams and even some of the *gasp* Eastern Conference teams more than the older Western Conference powerhouses like Sacramento and Dallas.
What say other Spurs fans? Who should we be afraid of this year?
