Man, they better have a spy for Hurts….we almost beat them in game one and Hurts single handily beat us with his darn legs. We played them well overall, Barkley didn’t do much, pass game didn’t do much…I wonder how Flus is gonna scheme it with Hal’s the D being new starters?

Good Post, keeping Hurts in the pocket and putting pressure on Hurts should be a priority for the Cowboys defense against the Eagles. I figure Overshown and James could alternate and play the spy position on Hurts . They both have the speed to contain Hurts. I have a feeling Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark and this new and improved front 7, will get 5 sacks in this game . Hurts will throw a couple of picks , he will be under heavy pressure.

He’s thrown one interception in ten games. Now he’s going to throw two in one game against the Cowboys defense. I believe it. Makes sense. That is probably going to happen.

Why not predict he’s going to throw four interceptions on Sunday? Or five? Five would be great. Five would be even better than four. Two or three fumbles are likely, too. I see eight Eagles turnovers happening against the Cowboys.

You know. Now that you mention it…

I’m thinking with the clock running down in a tie game, with the Eagles in the red zone, Hurts will point at Eze, then back to his own goal line.

Eze will nod understanding.

Hurts will then take the snap and throw an 80 yard bomb the other way to Eze for a pick six as time expires.

You gonna be okay?

Yea, we definately made positive strides with our recent defensive additions. Are there any notable changes in the egirls D since our last meeting? I know the big hubba baloo in philly is Graham coming out of retirement. Big deal, there was a reason he retired.

I'm sure there are Eagle's boards you can post on

Cowboys definitely going to get some inside pressure especially with Lane Johnson out, ends just need to do their jobs and keep Hurts in the pocket.

Good Post, Lane Johnson is banged up and so is the Eagles center. This front 7 for Dallas should feast, as I stated previously. I am a Cowboys fan , the way Williams and Clark played last week, Hurts should be sacked and under pressure in this game. Dallas needs to keep Hurts in the pocket, he will not be comfortable And Dallas will win this game 34-24.

Very different personnel for Ebeflus to scheme with this time. Gotta believe they'll have Overshown spying, no?
I think Overshown is the only one who has the speed to keep up with Hurts when he escapes the pocket. Or I should say had the speed. I don't know what he has this year after the injury.

Priority #1 is always stopping the run game.
After that, get pressure up the middle to move Hurts off his spot.
In my opinion, #3 is covering Goedert and Barkley so Hurts cannot find an easy dump off.
Make him throw to his wideouts.

I don't think this will happen the way I'd prefer because the Cowboys like to bend but don't break, and have used that philosophy for years now. The only outlier to that was Quinn, and he screwed it up because he has no clue how to stop a run game.

Personally, I hope the next DC is all about 1) stopping the run and 2) attacking. The bend but don't break deal makes a defense weaker, in my opinion. It also keeps your offense off the field and makes them go on long drives for points because the field is always being flipped. Stop the run and then attack; get more 3 & outs; get turn-overs; and give up the occasional big play. Even with the big plays, at least the offense is often working on shorter fields and getting the ball back faster. To me, that's the way to go when you have invested in a high powered offense.

Great point. We also played them when we had the worst or 2nd worst defense in the league.

Our spy are those Eaglet receivers who keep talking smack on social media and leaking stuff to the media criticizing Hurts. I want to see them do more of a TO head job like he did with McNabb and shake Hurts up, but something tells me dude is too mentally strong for that.
