Former kicking coach Chris Boniol, who has left the Cowboys, said Dan Bailey and punter Chris Jones are in good hands with Rich Bisaccia and new assistant special teams coach Carlos Polk.

“Dan and Chris, true professionals in every sense,” Boniol said at the Senior Bowl. “I mean, their performance, their work ethic, their integrity on and off the field. I am extremely proud of those guys and proud to have been a big part of their development. I have full confidence that they’re going to continue and be successful.”

Boniol was in Mobile looking for another NFL job, but he also has a private kicking business.

He also praised long-snapper L.P. Ladouceur.

“He snaps the most catchable ball for a holder and a punter, and I don’t think people realize how important that is,” Boniol said. “It’s very catchable, very consistent and very accurate. And the thing that he does the best is the laces on field goals, and that’s going to contribute how well the holder and kicker operate. They’ve got a good group there. They’re going to be successful for a long time.”
