Brandon Carr played four seasons in Kansas City before leaving as a free agent, signing a five-year, $50.1 million deal with the Cowboys in 2012. He has not been back to Kansas City since leaving, but he has looked back.

"A lot of memories," Carr said. "Just us fighting from being at the bottom and kind of getting our way and getting the playoff berth and kind of bringing some life back to Arrowhead. A lot of good memories of my teammates. We were a close group up there. So I mean just off the field, on the field, a lot of things. The same as it is here. We’re a family. We battle through a lot of things together, overcame a lot of things, a lot of adversity, so those are some good memories. But there are two years here now, and I’m getting some of those memories here as well."

The Chiefs made Carr a fifth-round pick in 2008, and he started all 64 games possible in four seasons. Carr will be in the visiting locker room at Arrowhead for the first time come Sunday.

"I don’t know how it’s going to feel," Carr said. "I haven’t been back to Kansas City since I left to come here after the free agency process. I may have some goose bumps and chills going in there, but it’s a business trip. I’m going here with the Cowboys. We’re going to take care of business. This is Game2, another step for us hopefully in the right direction. It’s important to win on the road, and it’s going to be a battle for us both with their stadium, the Arrowhead fans can get after it pretty good, and their ballclub is playing pretty good right now. So we have our hands full. For us, it’s a business trip. All that, shaking hands, that can happen after the game. While those 60 minutes are in play, it’s going to be a dog fight."
