Dez Bryant said he’s not going to touch the Giants’ comments that he doesn’t like it when defenders get physical with him.
“You know, whatever that gets them motivated, all I know is Sunday, I’m going to play my game,” he said. “We, us – as a team, as well – are coming out playing our game.”
Giants safety Will Hill told reporters this week: “Get your hands on him. He doesn’t like to be touched, like most receivers in this league, but really him. He doesn’t like to be touched.”
And cornerback Prince Amukamara said, “He’s a big guy. You have to use his medicine against him. I think that’s the key.”
Asked if he was surprised to hear that, Bryant said, “They can say whatever they want to say. That’s what they believe, we’ll let them believe that. We’re going to out, and we’re going to play our game.”
Asked how he believes he plays against physical coverage, Bryant said, “Feel great. It’s never been a problem.”
He stopped and started mock lecturing reporters: “And don’t try to take that to add that with that,” he said, drawing laughs. “Just got to set the record straight. I know how y’all do things.”
Bryant, targeted only two times in the Saints game, added that he’s optimistic about the Cowboys’ game plan.
“Yeah. Very excited about our game plan,” he said. “Not only me, but everybody. We’re going to go out here and try to execute these plays the best way we possibly can.”
Does the plan include plays more suited for him?
“Not going to get into any kind of those details,” he said. “All I’m going to tell you is we believe in our game plan, and we’re very excited about it.”
