Cole Beasley defends Dallas Cowboys maligned receiver unit: 'We're just getting open'

The Dallas Cowboys offense has struggled through three weeks and the receiving unit has taken a good share of the blame. But Cole Beasley and the other receivers said they've been getting open for Dak Prescott.

If they are getting open then what's the problem?

1.) Dak can't throw or can't see the field or is just checking down too much, or panicing in the pocket and scrambling into pressure.
2.) OL is not holding up.
3.) WRs are getting open, but the play is breaking down too quickly
4.) Scheme issues.

Yeah, probably all that.

They can’t even lie right together

Sounds like scheme is fine, if they're open, it can only go back to a couple areas, Dak and the Oline.

All of the above probably and unfotunately. lol

oh crap the weasley is throwing the bus driver under the bus. Why don't we just run the ball like we did in 2016 to carry the bus driver. Dak isn't going to be able to carry any team with his arm. Why Scott, are you the dumbest OC in the NFL?

Oh boy........

Prolific passing offenses were on center stage Thursday night when Jared Goff threw for 465 yards to pace the Rams in a 38-31 win over the Vikings that came despite 422 passing yards for Kirk Cousins.

Things haven’t been close to prolific through the air for the Cowboys. Dak Prescott‘s three-game total of 498 passing yards just ekes out what those two quarterbacks did in one game and it fits into the offseason narrative that the team’s receiving corps would hold their offense back this fall.

One member of that corps says that it isn’t the fault of those players, however. Cole Beasley said anyone watching tape would see that the problem lies elsewhere.
