Quarterback Alex Tanney cleared waivers, and the Cowboys added him to their practice squad Sunday. The Cowboys kept only two quarterbacks -- Tony Romo and Kyle Orton -- on their active roster.
Dallas also signed receiver Danny Coale, receiver Tim Benford, guard Ray Dominguez, safety Jakar Hamilton, linebacker Cameron Lawrence, cornerback Micah Pellerin and defensive end Jason Vega to their practice squad.
Linebacker Brandon Magee was claimed off waivers by the Browns, preventing the Cowboys from returning Magee to their practice squad. They are, however, freed from the $70,000 guarantee they had on his contract.
