That didn’t take long. Ben Bass got back on the practice field Sunday, two days after leaving practice with an ankle injury. The second-year player, who is playing in the starting lineup at left rush end in place of Anthony Spencer, did not want to stay out long with an injury.
“It means a lot to me to be able to fight through the injuries, because I know during the season those come up,” he said after Sunday’s practice. “And so, any kind of nicks or things like that, even though you have them, you still got to be out there. So I was trying to be out here as soon as possible.”
Bass said he was still in a little bit of pain, but was able to practice through it.
