One receiver returned, while another watched from the sideline.
The Cowboys welcomed back Terrance Williams after the rookie sat out more than a week with a concussion. He missed the team's first two preseason games.
"I think I picked up where I left off at and had a good day," said Williams, who is slated to be the team's No. 3 wideout. "I’ve just got to pay attention during these meetings to correct the mistakes."
Williams said he had never previously had a concussion. He injured himself when he hit the back of his head on the ground during the final practice before the Hall of Fame Game. He did not make the trip to Canton.
"It was weird," he said. "The main thing was just the headache part. The moment that goes away, then I left like I was fine."
Receiver Cole Beasley hopes his stay on the sideline is even shorter.
Beasley was the only significant injury from Friday night’s game. X-rays after the game were negative on Beasley's left foot, but an MRI showed sprained ligaments.
That likely means Beasley, who is in a walking boot, will rejoin the team after they break camp and return home next week.
“If I miss more than one game, I’m going to be upset,” Beasley said. “I’m going to be upset just missing one.”
